The tables below list various mixers that are offered. There are three categories of mixers: – for cartridge dispensing, for meter mix machine dispensing and for spray coatings.

Static Mixer (Nozzle) Overview

Sulzer MIXPAC plastic disposable static mixers are used for mixing epoxy, silicone, acrylic, methacrylate, polyurethane, polysulfide and other adhesives as well as coatings. Statomix products are designed to work with dual cartridges, syringes and meter mix dispensing machines (MMD).

Static mixers are used in diverse applications such as general industrial, electronics, communications, automotive, aerospace, construction, computer hardware fabrication and many others.

Mixer elements are made from polyacetal and polypropylene. Polyacetal elements have better resistance to deformation under high pressures developed in some machine dispensing applications, than general purpose polypropylene elements. SH series metal shrouds are often used in machine applications, to offer protection in the event of mixer failure.
Static mixers can be used with a variety of accessories. LA luer adapters allow attachment of small orifice needles, used for accurately dispensing small quantities of adhesive. BSD spreader tips allow the application of adhesive beads that are "wider" than typically dispensed by a mixing nozzle.

Static Mixers for Cartridge Dispensing

Cartridge dispensing static mixers are composed of polypropylene housing and elements. They are typically used with Sulzer Mixpac cartridges but are compatible with many others as well. Cartridges can range in size from 25 ml (syringes) up to 1,500 ml typically used for construction applications. Ratios commonly used are 1:1, 2:1, 4:1 and 10:1.

MKH and MKHX mixers are used with 2.5 ml and 5 ml dual syringes. MAH, MAHX, MAQ and MAQX are used with 50 ml, AA-series cartridges. They are attached by a twist lock (bayonet) style inlet. MB, MBH, MBQ and MBQX mixers are used with S-Style 50 ml cartridges.

MC, MCHX, MCQ and MGQ mixers are used with C-Series cartridges. These nozzles are attached to the cartridge using a retaining nut. MGQ comes with a retaining nut that has been manufactured as part of the mixer. MF, MFHX, MFQ and MFQX mixers are used with F-Series cartridges. Static mixers are attached by a "bayonet ring" mechanism.

Nordson Side-by-Side Adhesive Dispensing Cartridges

Nordson EFD Side-by-Side cartridges are available in many volumes and ratios (see table below). Materials of construction include nylon and polypropylene (PP). Pistons come in a wide range of styles. Consult detailed Series Pages for more information. Ratio-PAK clip together cartridges are from the recently acquired Plas-Pak company and product lines.

Nordson EFD single cartridge components are designed to "Snap Together" with any other size single cartridge component, to form a dual cartridge for dispensing adhesives. All single side cartridge components have the same height.and are available in many volumes, thereby allowing the creation of a large range of dual-component volumes.

Nordson Bovine Syringe Systems (Basic and Dial-A-Dose)

Nordson Bovine single component syringes are used to dispense products for the treatment of cows and other large animals. The Nordson syringes are available in single or multi-dose options. Nordson EFD DIY disposable syringes are an ideal system for controlled mixing and dispensing of two-component adhesives and selants, gels and pastes. DIY syringes are also used for dental applications such as whitening and making impressions. DIY syringes are used with EFD DIY mixers.
